Built the way memory actually works

Learning research is blunt about the read-and-reread method: testing yourself beats rereading, and spacing those tests out beats cramming. The whole account is built on that, for all three exams.

Every card makes you pull the answer from memory before it's shown. Rereading feels like progress; retrieval is what actually builds recall.

Weak material returns until it sticks

A fact isn't done when you get it right once. Using calendar-based spaced review, it returns in later sessions until you've recalled it correctly three separate times.

It knows the difference between sure and lucky

Before each answer is revealed you tap Sure, Unsure or Guessing. Right-but-unsure isn't treated as known — the most dangerous gaps are the ones you think you've covered.

Before you buy

Does one payment include all three exams?

Yes. The £15 monthly subscription includes the NIE, NPPF Sergeants and NPPF Inspectors revision spaces in one account, each with its own progress record.

Do I still need the prescribed manuals?

Yes. NIE candidates need the current edition of Blackstone's Police Investigators' Manual. Sergeants and Inspectors candidates need the current editions of Blackstone's Police Manuals volumes 1–3: Crime, Evidence and Procedure, and General Police Duties. Police Law Prep supports that study. It does not replace the manuals.

Is this an official police product?

No. Police Law Prep is an independent study tool published by A Large Company Ltd. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the College of Policing, any police force, or any publisher.

Where does the content come from?

Every card and question is written from primary public sources — legislation.gov.uk, the PACE Codes of Practice, CPS charging guidance and Sentencing Council guidelines — and corrected when the law changes.

How do I cancel?

Use Manage subscription in the app or email us (address in the footer). Your access then runs to the end of the month you've paid for, then stops — you're never charged again after that.
