How is this different from just reading the manual?
Reading builds familiarity, not recall — under exam pressure they are not the same thing. NIE Revision is retrieval practice: it repeatedly tests you on every topic, spaces those tests out, and tracks which facts are actually secure. Use the manual to understand the law; use this to make it stick.
Is this an official College of Policing product?
No. NIE Revision is an independent study tool published by A Large Company Ltd. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the College of Policing, any police force, or any publisher.
Do I still need the manual?
Yes. The exam is marked against the current edition of Blackstone's Police Investigators' Manual, and nothing here reproduces it.
Where does the content come from?
Every card and question is written from the primary public sources — legislation.gov.uk, the PACE Codes of Practice, CPS charging guidance and Sentencing Council guidelines — and corrected when the law changes. Full list on the content sources & licences page.
What does it run on?
Any modern browser on phone, tablet or desktop. You can install it to your home screen like an app, and progress follows your access code across devices.
How long does access last?
As long as you're subscribed. NIE Revision is billed £15/month, renews monthly, and there's no minimum term. Cancel any time from the app (Progress screen, "Manage subscription") or by emailing us (address in the footer) — your access then runs to the end of the month you've paid for, then stops; you're never charged again after that.
I bought before the price change — what happens to my access?
Nothing changes. You keep your access for good, and you will never be charged monthly.
What if I want a refund?
